Sandra L. (Sandy) Hale Stephenson, age 78, went to Heaven on Nov. 17, 2014.
â€śSassâ€ť as she was lovingly known by her grandchildren and great-children, as well as her close friends, was preceded in death by her parents O.C. (Spot) Hale and Madeline (Tootie) Hale.
She is survived by â€śmy sweet baby,â€ť husband Roger Stephenson; sons, Brad and wife Mindy, Britt and wife Christy and Kyle. Rogerâ€™s â€śgirlfriendâ€ť and â€śsweet brideâ€ť is also survived by Randy and wife Roberta Donahoe.
Roger W. Brooks, 69 of Big Spring, Texas died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services took place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Stanton. Interment followed at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.
The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.
He was born Feb. 27, 1945 in San Angelo. He married Carla Perry June 27, 1975 in Midland.
On Nov. 15, 1951, a sweet spirit made her appearance into the world. For all the years that followed, she would grace her family and friends with her many attributes, talents and love for family. Pam had an artistâ€™s soul and possessed many talents which included drawing, painting and writing. She was an animal lover and accomplished equestrian. She had a Bachelorâ€™s degree in English and education and shared her gift for and love of words and literature as a teacher for over 10 years.
Graveside services for Randy Alexander Anthony Rodriguez, 6, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Fraley officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Family visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at McCoy Chapel of Memories.
He died on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on March 11, 2008 in Sweetwater. He was a first grade student in Sweetwater.
Francisco Rudolfo (Rudy) Herrera, Jr., age 50, of Sweetwater, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at his residence.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by David Mendez.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 at Holy Spirit Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary) with Bishop Joe Vasquez officiating. Burial will follow later at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Stamford. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Leland L. Bardwell, 90, of Sweetwater, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Lamum-Lusk Sanchez Texas State Veterans Hospital in Big Spring.
Per his wishes, he was cremated at Meyer and Smith Funeral Home in Big Spring.
He was born on January 10, 1924 in Hylton, Texas. He married Jo "Todd" Scott on March 2, 1962 in Sweetwater.
He served in the U.S Navy from June 4, 1942 until August 14, 1961. He worked at the U.S. Post Office in Sweetwater from March 21, 1964 until January 3, 1989. He was a former member of the Elks and VFW.
Willard McFaul's last train departed this earthly station on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at 1:51 p.m. at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Roscoe with Reverend Adam Davis and Dr. Rick Willis officiating. Interment will follow at the Roscoe Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater is in charge of arrangements.Â
A memorial service for Peggy Wade Otwell will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, at Avondale Baptist Church with Kevin Shipp officiating.
Funeral services for Willard G. McFaul, 85, of Roscoe, are pending with McCoy Funeral Home.
McFaul died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

John C. Anz was born to John Edward Anz and Minnie Schrader Anz on May 15, 1924 in Spur, Dickens County, Texas. He was the first of their five children. The Anz family moved to Sweetwater, Texas in 1936.
After graduation from Newman High School in Sweetwater, John was inducted into the Navy in 1944. He completed Submarine school in New London, Connecticut in 1945. In 1946, he served on the Submarine boat SS406 the USS Sea Poacher receiving the rank of torpedo manâ€™s mate third class. He served in active duty during World War II from June 29, 1944 to Oct. 30, 1946.
