Funeral services for Harmon Gene Hurst, 83, of Abilene, formerly of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Keith Clifton officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends from 1:15 p.m. until service time on Thursday, March 7, at McCoy Chapel of Memories, located at 401 East Third Street in Sweetwater.
Hurst died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Mesa Springs Retirement Center in Abilene.

Gary Hollis, age 62, of Sweetwater, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
His body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Jeanie Williams of Saint James UMC in Abilene officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Lydia Mae Harris, age 93, of Sweetwater, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Truman Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Palava Cemetery.
Lydia was born on Sept. 17, 1919 in Alba, Texas to Charlie N. and Thedia (Scogin) Davis. She moved in 1929 with her folks to Palava, Texas until 1939 when they moved to Sweetwater at the beginning of World War II.

Funeral services for Joyce Goodnight, 62, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Fourth and Elm Church of Christ with Mike Crowley officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Goodnight died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Christine Gannaway Giles, 87, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013.
She is being cremated and services are pending in Winters, Texas.
She is survived by two nieces, Sherry Williamson, Jean Bishop, and several great nieces and nephews.
Betty Jean Cantrell, 70, of Wichita Falls, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Western Heritage Christian Church in Dean with Bro. Nicky Johnson and Bro. Dave Strunk officiating. Interment will follow at Charlie Cemetery in Charlie under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
ROTAN — Allen Alexander Hull, 86, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Rotan. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Rotan. Burial will follow at Belvieu Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. on Friday at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Gretta Lynn Smallwood, 65, of Sweetwater will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Smallwood died Monday, Feb. 25, at Hendrick Medical Center.
Trent — Ruby Faye “Poopie” Sipe, 81, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 in Abilene. A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, at the Trent First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Trent Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home. Visitation was from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
John Manuel Aquino Molina, age 64, of Colorado City, passed away Feb. 22, 2013 in a Lubbock Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mitchell County Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
John was born Dec. 13, 1948, to Tiburicia M. Molina and Elvira Aquina Molina who preceded him in death. He retired from US Gypsum in February 2011 after 28 years of service. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
