Dr. Clark Johnson died Monday, January 17, 2011 in Lubbock , Texas at the age of 86. He was born January 10, 1925 in Denison , Texas to Clark and Estelle (Ivie) Johnson. His formal education began in a two room rural school at Muncy, in Floyd County, Texas. After one year there the family moved back to Sherman , Texas . He graduated from Sherman High School in 1941 and began his college career at Austin College in Sherman . After one year there he transferred to the University of Texas where he continued his pre-medical studies. In 1943 he joined the U. S.
Bonnie Jahron Palmer, 83, of Sweetwater passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Abilene on Oct. 8, 1927. She married Kenneth Palmer on April 5, 1947 in Abilene.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Palmer, on Nov. 8, 1989 and her sister Jennie Marie Henderson in May 2010.
Roger Rudel was born on March 22, 1941. He was the third son of Joseph and Edith Rudel, but was the first of their four sons to be born in the United States. He grew up in New York City among a vibrant community of émigrés and fellow-countrymen from the French island of Martinique in the Caribbean Sea. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gloria (Curry) Rudel, sons David and Roger Jr. (wife Kristy McGee Rudel), daughters Nicole and Delise (husband Matthew Munroe) and stepchildren, Garriett and Angela Curry.

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Nell Griffin, 87, of Alexander City, will be Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home.
Bro. Miles Crouch and Bro. John David Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Radney Funeral Home.
D. W. “Buck” Hamilton, 85, of Sweetwater passed away on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at Snyder Oaks Nursing Home in Snyder, Texas.
He was born on July 24, 1925 in Shep, Taylor County, Texas. He married Vera Paveluk on September 3, 1969 in Sweetwater and they made their home at Lake Sweetwater.
Hamilton was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, three sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Vera Hamilton of Lake Sweetwater; son Gary Hamilton and wife Gail, of West Monroe, Louisiana, three grandsons, three great grandsons and one great granddaughter.

Funeral services for Nita Laverne Rogers, 80, of Nolan, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Truman Davis and Rev. Billy Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Maryneal Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Rogers died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
Rufus T. Palacios, Sr., age 78, of Sweetwater, passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at his residence.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church recited by family.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. l8, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Carvin Coy Lemmons - Williams, 43, of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Sweetwater on Sept. 1, 1967.
Reynaldo (Ray) Balderas, age 71 of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
His body was cremated. A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Michael Rodriguez officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Treviño, Sr., 78, of Sweetwater, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with Father Michael Rodriguez officiating. Treviño died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
He was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Kennedy, Texas.
