December 21st
A private family graveside service for James Elmer Rainey, 37, of Trent and Sweetwater will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Ward Hayes and Rev. Ronnie Freeman officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Rainey died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, in Nolan County.
December 20th
On Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 held in the arms of, and surrounded by family in her home, Lanell Davis Lee, was called back to our Heavenly Father. We know she was only loaned to us by God, but never prepared for the day we would have to give her back.
Upon arrival at the Pearly Gates, she was greeted with open arms by her mother, Minnie Lou Davis, father, Taylor Davis and brother, Billy Ray Davis.
Funeral services for Golia Faye Williams, 81, of Snyder, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rick Williams officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home. A visitation was held from 6-7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
Williams died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
December 17th
Alton Keith Mulanax, age 59, of Sweetwater, passed away Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Chris Stephens officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Keith was born Aug. 18, 1951, in Snyder, Texas. He was a Baptist.
December 15th
Funeral services for Iva P. Sherrill, 99, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Chris Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Sherrill died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at her home.
She was born March 3, 1911, in Crowell, Texas. She married James B. LaRue July 17, 1929, in Fredrick, Okla. and Hardee A. Sherrill in 1967 in Sweetwater.
December 14th
Rufus F. Wade, 63, of Kingston and formerly of Sweetwater, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010.
A graveside service of rememberance took place on December 11, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Tony McLamb officiating.
Services celebrating the life of Charles Adrian (C.A.) Price will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, at McCoy Funeral Chapel in Sweetwater. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. Mr. Price passed away on December 14, 2010, at the age of 83.
December 13th
James Harry Jenkins, 86, of Roscoe, Texas passed away on December 12, 2010, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, Texas.
He was born July 29, 1924 in Bonham, Texas. He married Mable Ward in 1972, in Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Mildred, in 1970, second wife, Mable, on Oct. 28, 2009, a daughter, Betty Jane Gerber and his brothers, David, Paul and Robert.
Margaret G. Landers
Funeral services for Margaret G. Landers, 87, of Sweetwater, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at McCoy Chapel of Memories, with Rev. Chris Rodriquez officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Landers died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.

Funeral services for Mary Louise Schattel, 93, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Paducah Cemetery with Jerry McClendon officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Schattel died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Stonecrest Senior Care, Inc.
