Julian Lopez Reyes, 78, of Colorado City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Mitchell County Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Saint Annâ€™s Catholic Church. Father Michael Udegbunam will officiate. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Louella Byrne Hall lost her long fight with cancer Nov. 4, 2011; she is at peace with her lord and Savior. Louella was 88 years, 25 days young, she was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Mertzon, Texas, to Lottie Stedham Davenport where she lived till moving to Mitchell County. She joined the First Christian Church at the age of 12 and was an active member. She was an active member in the Colorado City church and raised her family there as well, but she attended the First Methodist Church of Colorado City, then the Westbrook church with her daughter.
A private service for Glenn W. McDowell, 70, of Pittsburg will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Calvary Chapel in Mt. Pleasant. Burial will follow at Nevills Chapel Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
McDowell died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, in Longview.
He was born Nov. 30, 1940, in Mulberry. He was a metal trades teacher. He had received his Bachelor's of Education degree and had also been a machinist at Campbell's Soup in Paris, Texas and a truck driver.
Erma Lee (Haywood) Audsley passed away 31 October 2011 after a long battle with Parkinsonâ€™s disease. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 1, at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Gashland United Presbyterian Church, 8029 N. Oak Tfwy, Kansas City, Mo. followed by interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Dewitt, Carroll County, Missouri.
Milton George Bradley was born on July 29, 1927, in Temple, Texas to parents Lewis and Alberta Bradley. The second of three sons, Miltonâ€™s nickname was G Boy.
Milton Bradley attended high school in Temple, Texas. Growing up in the depression, young G Boy would sometimes have to chase jack rabbits for food and the skill helped to make him an extremely fast runner. As a track and football star in high school, he had an opportunity to race against the late, great Jessie Owens and almost beat him. Jessie Owens gave G Boy his own nickname of â€śSpeedyâ€ť.
Family and friends of Wanda Sharrock Ingram celebrated her life of 77 years on Oct. 27, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Lubbock. She died on Monday, Oct. 24, 2011.
Wanda Nell was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Sweetwater, Texas to Orin Ted and Eavvie Sharrock. She graduated from Crane High School and later earned a Bachelorâ€™s degree from Mary Hardin Baylor College in Belton, Texas. Wanda retired from Texas Utilities in 2000, after serving as a training supervisor for 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lubbock.
Jesalea Aken Wallace
A celebration of the life of Jesalea Aken Wallace was held Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Cotton Valley.
Jesalea was born July 20, 1921, in Rotan, Fisher County, Texas to Joseph David Aken and Lula Dudney Kendrick Aken. She died Oct. 21, 2011, at Willow Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Arcadia, La.

Mildred Louise (Britton) Montgomery Green passed away peacefully with family at her bedside.Â She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Verna Britton of Loraine; two brothers, Harold Britton of CA and Gene Britton of Loraine, TX; and the loss of a son, Johnny Mac Montgomery.Â SheÂ was a loving grandmother, mother, wife, daughter, sister and a loving friend.
Stephen Edward (Steve) McGinley, age 60, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at his residence.
His body was cremated. No formal services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Steve was born Sept. 26, 1951, in Sweetwater, Texas to D.E. (Jack) and Nancy (Neeper) McGinley. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for many years before retiring. He married Nellie Ramon on Sept. 27, 1976 in Sweetwater, Texas.
Carl Herman Alfred Erickson, Jr., 56, of Maryneal, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, in Maryneal.
No services are scheduled at this time. Mr. Erickson will be cremated.
