Dylon Adames is the Football Player of the Week for Sweetwater. Adames is a 195-pound senior who has been the starting center on the Mustangs’ offensive line the past three years. In last week’s 28-6 win over Big Spring, he blocked a field goal attempt, had one QB pressure and assisted on one tackle.
Sweetwater got a split de-cision against Big Spring in sub-varsity District 5-3A volleyball action this past Friday at Mustang Gym.
The Sweetwater freshmen beat Big Spring 16-25, 25-21, 25-22 in their match, while Sweetwater’s junior varsity lost to Big Spring 21-25, 22-25.
