Roscoe junior high at Crosbyton (7th and 8th grade) starting at 4 p.m.
Roscoe JV at Crosby-ton, 6:30 p.m.
Highland junior high and JV teams at Ira, 6 and 7:30 p.m.
Blackwell junior high at Novice, 6 p.m.
FRIDAY, OCT. 21
Football
Sweetwater varsity at Snyder, 7:30 p.m.
Roscoe varsity hosts Crosbyton, 7:30 p.m.
Highland varsity hosts Ira (district opener), 7:30 p.m.
Blackwell-Novice (district opener) cancelled. Blackwell will get forfeit victory over Novice.
Volleyball
The Sweetwater football team completed Step 1 on its way to becoming a play-off contender by defeating a winless Big Spring team 28-6 this past Friday at Mustang Bowl.
Now comes the hard part — winning at least one of its final two games against two of the most respected pro-grams in the state, begin-ning with Friday’s District 5-3A game at Snyder (6-1, 1-0), which is riding a six-game winning streak.
