The girls regular season is over and the high school basketball playoffs are almost here. But so far, only one Nolan County team has secured a postseason berth. However, the Roscoe boys can join the Highland girls in the playoffs with a win tonight at Munday. Roscoe and Munday are currently tied for third place in District 9-A, Division I with 5-4 records. Tonight’s winner advances to the postseason. The game will end the regular season for both squads. In the first meeting between the teams, Roscoe won 54-46.
The Highland girls basketball team is in the Class 1A playoffs for the 10th straight year and has a warmup game at Stamford at 8 p.m. today. Highland will begin the playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday with a bi-district game against Robert Lee in Bronte. Highland finished as the runnerup in District 11-A, Division II with a 10-2 record and is 19-10 overall.
