After the icy weather that moved in late Monday night forced the cancellation of their games here Tuesday, Sweetwater and Big Spring will try again to play their varsity doubleheader today. As of early today, the varsity girls game is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Mustang Gym, followed by the varsity boys game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday’s JV and freshman games were not rescheduled.
The Sweetwater High School freshman girls basketball team has a 13-5 overall record this season and is 3-2 in district play. The Sweetwater High School girls placed first and the SHS boys placed second on Saturday at the Lamesa powerlifting meet.
The girls put on a domi-nant showing at Lamesa as Sweetwater’s 45 points more than doubled the 19 by Colorado City, which came in a distant second.
