Kendal Carrillo, a former Sweetwater High School player, is still undefeated as a pitcher for the University of Texas baseball team after a win over Texas-Pan American Tuesday. Carrillo, a senior at UT, pitched a perfect eighth inning to get credit for the victory as the No. 7 Longhorns won 4-2. Carrillo, who is 3-0, has appeared in 20 games to share the team lead with a 1.25 ERA as a middle reliever, and batters are hitting just .195 against him this season.
Sweetwaterâs JV baseball team defeated Big Springâs JV, 10-6, in its final game Friday at Sportsmanâs Park.

The Mustangs also scored a run in the second inning and came up with its final three runs in the fourth to finish 4-4 in district play.
