Sweetwater High Schoolâ€™s golf teams are in strong contention for regional berths after completing the second 18-hole leg of their 54-hole tournaments.
The SHS girls are still in second place through two rounds of their District 5-3A tournament, which began last week at Sweetwater Country Club and continued Tuesday at Abileneâ€™s Maxwell Golf Course with Wylie as host team.
Sweetwater shot 363, giving it a 733 total with one round to play and increasing its margin to 27 strokes over Wylie, which is third with a 760 total.
