Today’s contests against Wylie will be the last of four straight home games for Sweetwater High School’s baseball and softball teams against district opponents. Furthermore, they will be the last home games of the 2011 season for both teams.
And for the two squads, a victory today is crucial to remain viable contenders in District 5-3A, though the 2-3 Lady Mustang softball team — which will host Wylie at 5 p.m. — has more wiggle room than the 1-3 baseball team, which entertains Wylie at 7 p.m.
