Pictured are the students and coaches at the Roscoe Collegiate junior high basketball camp that was held this past week at the Roscoe gym. In no particular order are Phillip Ballenger, Jovanah Pena, Braiden Moore, Cha Cha Chavez, Jayden Gonzales, Caty Chivera, Karina Cisneros, Alejandra Solis, Lyndi Anglin, Magali Casas, Joe Chivera, Tagen Adkins, Wesley Parish, Adrienne Laurens, Braxton Parrot, Bonnie Anglin, Kevin Lavalais, Jace Arnwine, Brandon Lavalais, Jacinda Morales and coaches Jonathan McClure, Kelly Jo Sexton and Shella Arnwine.
Sweetwater’s Astros will play the Snyder Astros in a District 5 Junior League (ages 13-14) championship game at 7 p.m. today in Sweetwater.
Both teams advanced to the title matchup by winning their semifinal contests on Saturday. The Wylie Nationals (Senior League), Abilene Dixie Mets (Junior League) and Abilene Eastern Long-horns (Minor League) all won District 5 titles Sat-urday. The Junior League title game was originally set for Abilene.
