A large group of students — a total of 76 — entering grades 3-9 invaded Mustang Bowl this past week to participate in a Mustang Football Camp. In addition to emphasizing skills and drills, the camp included punt, pass and kick instruction and competitions.
Sweetwater High School fans will get a chance to meet the new SHS coaches at a “Meet the Mustang Coaches” event which is set for Thursday, Aug. 16 from 6-8 p.m.
The event will be held at Sweetwater’s Dairy Queen on 1608 Lamar Street.
All of the proceeds from the event will be used for the Sweetwater High School athletic program.
Students enjoyed this year's week-long Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp this year which finished up on Friday, July 27, 2012. Each day included individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily World Cup tournament.
