A volleyball camp will be held starting Monday, Aug. 6 at the Sweetwater Middle School gym on 305 Lamar Street.
Two sessions will be held. Students who have completed grades 6-7 will attend from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 6-10, while students who have completed grades 3-5 will attend camp from 1-3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Aug. 6-9.
This year’s camp fee will be $35 and includes a T-shirt.
Sweetwater High School officially kicks off its 2012 volleyball season Monday with the first practices, followed by the teams’ first scrimmages just four days later and then the Lady Mustangs’ opening season matches Monday, Aug. 13.
SHS head coach Liz Miller expects between 45 and 50 athletes to report Monday at 6:30 a.m. Morning workouts will be from 7:15 a.m. to noon with a 45-minute break in between, followed by a 90-minute lunch break and an afternoon practice from 1:30-4 p.m.
Reserved ticket sales for the general public to all five Sweetwater High School football games for 2012 will on sale starting Monday, Aug. 6 during regular summer business hours at the Sweetwater ISD administration office on 2o7 Musgrove Street. The summer business hours for the Sweetwater ISD are 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday. Today is the final day for current option holders to renew season tickets for Sweetwater High School’s 2012 home football games.
Tickets are $30 for the five home games and may be purchased at the Sweetwater ISD administration office during regular business hours. Reserved ticket sales for the general public go on sale at Sweetwater ISD starting Monday, Aug. 6.
