SW girls fall at Abernathy, 66-51

November 27, 2013

Sweetwater fell behind 22-10 at Abernathy in the teams’ non-district girls basketball game Tuesday in part because of difficulties handling the press.
Though the Lady Mus-tangs were able to close the gap to six points in the sec-ond period, they never com-pletely recovered and lost the game, 66-51.
“We had 24 turnovers,” said Sweetwater coach Al Miller, whose team’s record dropped to 2-3. “We kind of shot ourselves in the foot and we got outhustled a bit. They were a little quicker than we were.”
