Roscoe varsity will play at Roby, 7:30 p.m.
Blackwell varsity is open (scheduled home game vs. Panther Creek cancelled).
SATURDAY, NOV. 9
Sweetwater girls host San Angelo Lake View â€” freshmen at 10:30 a.m., JV at noon, varsity at 1:30 p.m.
Roscoe JV girls host Coahoma, 2 p.m.
Roscoe varsity girls host Coahoma, 3:30 p.m.
Highland JV and varsity girls play at Forsan starting at 1 p.m.
One Nolan County team â€” Blackwell â€” has already qualified for the state football playoffs that get started next week. But that number could triple when the dust has finally settled tonight in both Sweetwater and Roby.
Sweetwater, which is 2-2 in District 4-3A and 4-5 overall, will host Wylie (3-1, 6-3) at Mustang Bowl in what is likely a must-win situation for Coach Shane Mobleyâ€™s Mustangs.
HIGHLAND â€” Thursday nightâ€™s final regular-season football game between Highland and Hermleigh was about what youâ€™d expect for two teams with identical season and district records fighting for the No. 2 playoff spot in District 7 Six-Man.
There were four lead changes, two in each half, before Hermleigh finally emerged with a 39-38 win to take the No. 2 berth and end Highlandâ€™s season.
