The final outcome of Sat-urday’s Class 3A bi-district softball playoff in Graham may not have been satisfy-ing for Sweetwater fans, but the 9-0 loss to Iowa Park told only part of the story.
Those who (like me) have followed the local high school sports scene in recent years have no doubt noticed how little success Sweetwater has had, especially in the “team” sports. April 30, 2012

LUBBOCK — Sweetwa-ter’s Nick Nemir was fourth in the boys 300-meter hur-dles Saturday after record-ing a time of 39.88 seconds at the Region I-3A track meet which was held at Texas Tech University.
Nemir, the only Sweet-water boys athlete to place, was 1.06 seconds behind second-place Blake Eschbach of Glen Rose. The top two in each event advance to the state track meet May 11-12 in Austin.
Nemir also went to regionals in the 30o hurdles last year but did not make the finals.
