October 20, 2011

Lady Stangs stun B’wood, still have shot at playoffs

October 19, 2011

The Sweetwater volleyball team still may be a longshot to make the state playoffs.
But a Brownwood team on the verge of clinching a postseason berth for the eighth consecutive year discovered Tuesday that the Lady Mustangs were not about to roll over for them.
Instead, Sweetwater ral-lied after a slow start to take a convincing 3-1 win at Mustang Gym and keep its playoff chances alive. After losing 25-20 in Game 1, the Lady Mustangs swept past the Lady Lions by scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-13.
