Roscoe will end non-district play by hosting Munday this Friday, while Highland goes to Black-well for the annual Battle of the Hornets.

Itâ€™s been a tough year so far for the Plowboys, who have been outscored 199-28 in their first four games while using a host of players with little or no varsity experience.
Roscoe has also had to play an especially brutal non-district schedule as its four opponents so far have a combined record of 14-1.
Gabriel Medellin has been named the Sweet-water Football Player of the Week. Medellin, is a 6-0, 180-pound senior tight end and linebacker who is also the teamâ€™s punter. He caught two passes for 29 yards and punted three times for a 33-yard average in a 19-0 win over Early this past Friday.

All four Sweetwater Middle School teams were winners this past Thursday when they took on Early at Mustang Bowl. Further-more, three of them won by a shutout and the other allowed just one score.
The eighth grade Red won 34-0; the eighth grade White won 20-6; and the seventh grade Red and White teams won 36-0 and 14-0, respectively.
All four Sweetwater teams go to Midland Greenwood this Thursday. The seventh grade plays first at 5 p.m. The next home action will be Oct. 4 when both of the seventh grade teams play host to Wylie.

Sweetwaterâ€™s White Flag Mustangs are 2-1 after de-feating Abileneâ€™s Redskins 27-7 this past Saturday.
Jadyn Forbes scored two touchdowns for the Mustangs, while Logan Thompson and Jayden Perez scored one touchdown apiece. Tyler Chavez added two extra points and Thompson one. Angel Delapaz, John Rine and Cash Barnes turned in outstanding defensive plays. Other outstanding performers were Ivan McCann, Kyler Holsey, Derek Arenivaz and Roman Camacho.
Blackwell lost to Robert Lee, 37-25, in junior high action this past Thursday to fall to 1-1 overall.
Sweetwaterâ€™s defense re-corded its second shutout of the season here Friday, as the Mustangs improved to 3-1 overall with a 19-0 win over Early before a large homecoming crowd.
The game was typical for Sweetwater through its first four contests of 2011.
The Mustang defense, as usual, was sound if a bit less spectacular than usual as it held Early (0-4) to 165 yards. The offense, as usual, was inconsistent in producing three scores and 297 yards â€” the latter equalling Sweetwaterâ€™s season high set one week earlier.
Blackwell, Highland and Roscoe all lost in area football action Friday.
MERKEL â€” Roscoe (0-4) faced another tough non-district opponent on the road as Merkel (2-1) jumped out to a 26-0 lead after one quarter. The Badgers then added two more scores, while Roscoe had just 131 yards â€” all rushing. Eduardo Gallegos ran for 40 yards to pace the Plowboys, while Eric Padilla had 36, Chris Deleon 32 and Dillon Freeman 22. Roscoe was shut out for the first time this season.

Sweetwater JV at Big Spring, 4 p.m.
Sweetwater teams host Graham â€” freshmen and JV at 5 p.m. (both gyms), varsity at 6:30 p.m.
THURSDAY, SEPT. 22
Sweetwater 7th grade teams at Midland Green-wood, 5 and 6:30 p.m.
Sweetwater 8th grade teams at Midland Green-wood, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
Sweetwater JV Red will host Midland Greenwood, 5 p.m.
Sweetwater JV White will host Midland Green-wood, 6:30 p.m.
Roscoe jr high at Munday (8th grade), 5 p.m.
Nolan Countyâ€™s three area football teams will all face tough non-district road games today.
1A Roscoe (0-3) is at Class 2A Merkel (1-1), while the countyâ€™s two six-man teams, Highland and Blackwell, will also be traveling tonight to play Fort Davis and Robert Lee, respectively. Highlandâ€™s game is at Garden City.
Blackwell is also 0-3 so far, while Highland (1-2) is coming off its first victory, 70-52 against Novice.
Sweetwater (2-1) rounds out tonightâ€™s local schedule as the Mustangs go for their third win this season when they host Early.
