Baseball
Sweetwater JV Red will play at Snyder, 4 p.m.
Sweetwater varsity will play at Snyder, 7 p.m.
Softball
Sweetwater varsity will host Snyder, 5 p.m.
Sweetwater JV will host Snyder, 7 p.m.
Track
Sweetwater varsity and JV boys will compete at Midland Greenwood meet.
Highland varsity teams will host Hilltop Relays.

Girls sports banquet for SHS set on May 11

A girls sports banquet will be held on May 11 for Sweetwater High School. All SHS girls athletes in volleyball, basketball, soft-ball and track will be recognized at the banquet for their achievements during the 2014-15 school year.

Jovanah Guzman, a sophomore and Zachary Rangel, a freshman from Roscoe Collegiate High School, were chosen to attend the Operation Hope Banquet in Lubbock on Saturday, March 28 with sponsors Mrs. Marsha Alexander and Mrs. Tamara Alexander.

Investigators with the 32nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office, the Nolan County Sheriff’s Office and the Sweetwater Police Department are actively searching for a 32-year-old fugitive, who’s been hiding to avoid detection by law enforcement. Joshua James Raney, a repeat offender who has compiled several arrests in Nolan County, is now wanted on outstanding warrant #11798 that was issued out of the 32nd Judicial District Court on Feb. 19, for the offense of possession of a controlled substance.

Annual run to benefit local school

If you're looking for a way to enjoy the spring weather while raising money for a good cause, look no further than the 3rd Annual "Beat the Street for Little Feet".
A new race, the 31.07-mile ultra marathon, will kick off this year's event at 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 at Cornerstone Christian School, part of 4th and Elm Church of Christ.
