This weekend, we'll see a warm-up, with Saturday's temperatures in the lower 70s and a nighttime low in the upper 50s. Sunday's forecast will be warmer with a high near 88 and an evening low around 60. Southern winds on Saturday and Sunday morning will shift to the west and north in the evening.

Recently the Sweetwater Rotary club donated $500 towards the APPLAUSE music series that will be taking place at the Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed, through laboratory tests, the first case of Ebola to be diagnosed in the United States in a person who had traveled to Dallas, Texas from Liberia. The patient did not have symptoms when leaving West Africa, but developed symptoms approximately four days after arriving in the U.S. on Sept. 20.
