Doyle Lee Parsons, age 42, of Blackwell, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Decker Cemetery with Dr. Stan Cosby officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
A Mustang Golf Camp will be held July 16-18 at Sweetwater Country Club for ages 6 and up. Sessions are from 9-11 a.m. each day. A Mustang Football Camp will be held July 22-25 at Mustang Bowl from 7:30-10:30 a.m. daily for students entering grades 3-9. The cost of the camp is $30, and all campers will receive individual instruc-tion from members of the Mustang coaching staff.

Mick Truitt, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development for Ludlum Measurements, was recently elected to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. The election took place during their June meeting held at the Chamber headquarters in Washington DC.
The 2013 Sweetwater Heart Walk Leadership Breakfast was held on Thursday morning, June 27 at The Center, located on the Sweetwater TSTC (Texas State Technical College) West Texas campus.
The gathering is a kick-off to encourage community members to participate in the Sweetwater Heart Walk, scheduled this year in mid-September.
The keynote speaker of the event was Kirk Maberry, who recounted his recent medical scare on Sunday morning, April 28. As he was getting ready to attend church, he told his wife that his heart felt funny.

The lighting of fireworks inside or outside the city limits of Sweetwater is not allowed. Lighting fireworks inside the Roscoe city limits is not allowed, but a fireworks show will be provided for the public on Saturday evening in Roscoe.

Mrs. Petra Aguilar, age 75, of Colorado City, died Tuesday afternoon at her residence. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Annâ€™s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Ronald Chamberlain died July 1, 2013, at his home in Sweetwater at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Chamberlain; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Philip Siebenlist; and daughter, Wendy Chamberlain.
A memorial will be held July 6, at 1 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 1200 SE Georgia in Sweetwater.
Ron came to Sweetwater with his wife, Toni in 1968 to help further the good news of God's Kingdom with the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses (Matthew 24:14). His family and friends look forward to the fulfillment of Acts 24:15.
