Joyce Marie Burnett Parrish, 67, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, beloved mother, daughter, sister and aunt, passed away at home into the loving arms of our Lord on March 17, 2013. Joyce was born on March 26, 1945, in Sweetwater to Mancell C. and Ruby M. (Weaver) Burnett.

Sweetwater is tied for sixth place after shooting a 352 during the first 18-hole leg of the boys district tournament at Snyder.
Sweetwater has two of the 12 teams that teed off at the Western Texas College Course on Thursday. The second leg of the tourna-ment is this Friday at Abi-leneâ€™s Maxwell Course.
Big Spring leads with a 301 total followed by Wylie (309), Snyder (312), Sny-der No. 2 (341) and Wylie No. 2 (342). Greenwood and Sweetwater both shot 352 in the first round.

Murl Montgomery, 60, passed away at his home on March 30, 2013, after a long battle with brain cancer.
A family visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013, at McCoy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at First Presbyterian Church in Sweetwater with Reverend Kary Fry officiating. Interment will follow in Sweetwater Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Masonic graveside rites will be said by Sweetwater Lodge # 571.
Brayleigh Michelle Lewis, infant daughter of Brittany Kincaid and Geoffrey Lewis, passed away on March 29, 2013, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater.
A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Eric Horton and Rev. Jack Pinkerton officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Lewis was born March 29, 2013, in Sweetwater.
While sitting in a padded office chair, a contrast from his cowboy-inspired attire, Robert Clark recollected a recent celebration dinner he had with his wife in Fort Worth.
She sensed his apprehension and when questioned, Clark said he was just waiting for the shoe to drop--everything leading up to that particular moment had gone so well.
But like most wives, she had some valuable advice to offer her husband. He was in the right place and at the right time of life, so she told him not to worry, but to have faith.
