The Sweetwater softball team picked up its fifth con-secutive win in dramatic fashion here Tuesday.
The Lady Mustangs, who one point trailed 9-2, staged a huge comeback at Jerry Collins Complex as they de-feated Graham, 12-11.
Sweetwater, now 9-5, got its latest win with a six-run sixth inning and a four-run seventh. Maty Montgomery delivered the game-winning hit, which scored Megan Holsey and Abby Garcia.
These nine Sweetwater High School girls powerlifters will go to Fort Stockton to compete in the Region I meet on Saturday.

The Sweetwater boys golf team shot 338 and 333 for a 671 total to place ninth out of 16 schools competing in a Region 1-3A preview tourn-ament in Lubbock held this past weekend.
Andrews won the event while Big Spring, Abilene Wylie, Lampasas, Sny-der, Levelland, Seminole, Borger, Sweetwater and Graham completed the top 10 teams.
Individually for Sweet-water, Alex Castillo shot 85-76-161; Mason Andrews shot 82-80-162; Michael Hunt shot 90-82-172; Mich-ael Hazard shot 81-95-176; and Mark Lawrence shot 107-110-217. The girls have their 1-3A preview starting Friday in Lubbock.
Sweetwater Little League tryouts will start today for those in Farm League (ages 7-8), Minor League (9-10) and Major League (11-12).
The tryouts will be held at the respective fields from 6-8 p.m. Each league will try out on their own field.
The Major League field is located along County Road 419, also known as the cotton oil mill road, while both the Minor League field and the Farm League field are located just east of the Nolan County Coliseum stock barns.
The alternate date for try-outs is Saturday, March 2. Tryouts that day will be at the Minor and Farm fields only.

Julie Cypert's Grand Central Station Lab at Sweetwater Middle School was awarded the Spirit of GCS Award for the 2012-2013 school year from the Center for Learning and Development in Waco, TX.
Sweetwater High School graduate Robert Reyes made a visit back to the area to offer a presentation recently at the local Rotary Club meeting.
Reyes, a 1994 graduate of SHS, is also a graduate of Texas Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently employed as an engineer with Halliburton in the Permian Basin, having many of his written works regarding his field published.
Ward D. Hayes was recently elected as Chair for Hendrick Medical Centerâs Board of Trustees. Hayes is the senior pastor for Trinity Baptist Church in Sweetwater.
As Chair, Hayes will preside over Board meetings, guide and direct the governance process, serve as the Boardâs central point of official communication with the hospitalâs CEO and represent the Board at hospital and community functions.
The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 48 calls for service, issued no citations and made one arrest on Feb. 25, 2013.
