The winter weather is definitely here today, with a high near 38 and mostly cloudy skies. Winds will be from the north-northeast around 10 mph.
Tonight will bring some changes, as we'll have a 50% chance of snow after 9 p.m. Accumulations could possibly stand at less than half an inch.
Expect cloudy skies this evening and a low around 27 with northeast winds around 5 mph. After midnight, the winds will shift to the southeast.

Texas Public Radio (TPR) announced it is now able to provide public radio service to the Big Country. The new, non-profit FM station reaches Snyder, Sweetwater, Colorado City, Big Spring and surrounding areas which are presently out of range of other public radio providers. This is the first major expansion for Texas Public Radioâ€™s services since the debut of KTXI 90.1 FM in the Texas Hill Country in 1998.
Seven elected officials were sworn into office on Wednesday morning, January 2, at the Nolan County Courthouse.
They were (from left to right) Nolan County Precinct 1 Commissioner Terry Willman, Nolan County Precinct 3 Commissioner Tommy White, Nolan County Attorney Lisa Peterson, District Attorney Ann Reed, Nolan County Tax Collector Kathy Bowen, Nolan County Sheriff David Warren and Nolan County Constable Will Lenoir.
The oath of office was administered by 32nd Judicial District Judge Glen Harrison (far left).
As children become teenagers, parents may feel they no longer have much influence on their teenâ€™s decision making, especially when it comes to details like dating, abstinence, sex and birth control.

Denison â€” Mary Imogene Mathews Jones, age 87, passed from this life Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.
Mrs. Jones was born March 3, 1925, in Nolan County, Sweetwater, Texas the daughter of Roy Ellis and Mary Alpha (Gray) Mathews.

Funeral services for Robert Callan Gabel, 80, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at McCoy Chapel of Memories. Rev. Chris Stephens will officiate and interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Gabel died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, in Coleman, Texas.
