Immediate snakebite treatment imperative to health

March 9, 2012

As Sweetwater celebrates the festivities of the 54th Annual World’s Largest Rattlesnake Round-up, local snakes will also begin to emerge from winter hibernation. Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital (RPMH) urges the community to know how to respond to snakebites.
Many different types of snakes can be found in Nolan County; some with poisonous venom that can have debilitating or even deadly consequences.

March 9, 2012

The most important thing I could leave my loved ones and friends, if it were within my power, which it is not, would be faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Although that is within the power of the Creator and Lord God of the universe alone to give, I would urge all my family and friends, if they have not done so already, to flee to the Savior in repentance and faith. Let my death be an occasion of reminder that life is short. Do not wait until it is too late. May God grant you grace to do so.
