The "Digging a Well" book signing will be held at Holiday Inn in Sweetwater on Monday from 1-5 p.m. The book's author, Sherry Long, was the secretary at the Mitchell-Scurry Baptist Associational Office under Bro. Darold Baldwin in 2001-2002.
Long is a women's ministry leader, pastor's wife, pianist, vocalist, songwriter and recently published author of "Digging a Well." The book shows how to find your aquifer in a dry and barren land.
Texas Country Band, theÂ Josh Abbott BandÂ was part of the entertainment lineup at the 2013 Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.Â

Billie Sue Alberty, 79, of Sweetwater, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with McCoy Funeral Home.
Cynthia Marie Cotton, 64, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at her residence in Sweetwater after an eight month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born Feb. 29, 1948 in Topeka, KS.
Cindie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dave Cotton; and her two sons, Adam Cotton and wife Kaci of Parker, Colo. and Ben Cotton and wife Lindsey of Abilene; two sisters, Marcie Beth Lightsey and husband Tony of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Kim Bruening and husband Ron of Topeka, Kan.; and two granddaughters, Lillian and Keely Cotton; and two grandsons, Jackson and Lincoln Cotton.
The Sweetwater Police Department (SPD) received 52 calls for service, issued three citations and made three arrests on Jan. 24, 2013.
The SPD received 32, 911 calls.

A live music performance will be held this weekend at the Texas Theatre featuring a variety of rock, blues and contemporary electric guitar performed by Brian McRae and his band, including Aaron Hatmaker on bass and an appearance by female vocalist Lesley Sawyer.
In addition to rock and blues style music, McRae will also be performing songs from his recent album, Painted World, which was produced by local resident Rex Scaggs and recorded in Lubbock.
One person was sent to Shannon Hospital in San Angelo Thursday morning after his truck rolled over a number of times near Highway 70 and Stet Highway 153. Shown is Shannon Air Med One taking off from the scene on Thursday morning.
In addition, one person was taken to Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital on Thursday afternoon from a one-vehicle wreck involving a motorcycle on the corner of Wall and Alabama.
Sweetwater Animal Control currently has four pets available for adoption.
Available for adoption is a male chihuahua mix, a male basset hound mix, a female golden retriever and a female gray and white cat.
According to Sweetwaterâ€™s animal control officer, Don Kite, animals that are picked up are kept for a minimum of three days, but he tries to keep them from a week to 10 days.
Dogs and cats are available for adoption for a $15 fee and the cost of getting the pet vaccinated for rabies.
The pets are required to have their vaccination before they leave to their new homes.
