The Superintendent's Report was given during the November meeting of the Sweetwater ISD Board of Trustees, which highlighted a wide variety of issues within the school district.
One update given was on the district's food service, as changes had to be made locally--along with all the other districts in the nation--due to the amendments in the National School Lunch Program. Though feedback has been varied, a majority of students are not pleased with the changes.

Members of the Nolan County Foundation Board recently announced a Challenge Grant of $2,000 to the Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium to be used for purchasing a Yamaha digital electric grand piano. Because the piano is digital, it never has to be tuned and it has the capability of several different "voices". The electric piano rivals the sound of a large acoustic grand piano and has the added grand piano feel when played. Also, it is easily moved.
