Sweetwater lost both of its sub-varsity games at Monahans on Thursday.
The JV White team fell 21-8 and the JV Red team lost by a score of 49-6.
Both teams host Levelland this week starting with the Red team at 5 p.m.

Sweetwater White (1-1) scored on a 28-yard run by T.C. Huitt in the second quarter as well as a safety in the third period.

The traffic flow at Southeast Elementary School has been a headache to some these first two weeks of school â€”Â a problem for those involved including students, teachers, parents and law enforcement.
"It is our number one objective to provide a safe place for children to receive an education and enjoy their experience while they are here with us," said Southeast principal Peggy Elliott. "We are working hard to improve the traffic situation to make it flow smoothly for the parents as we maintain our number one goal, the safety of our students."
Funeral services for Eula Mae Corley, 99, of Sweetwater, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at the funeral home.
Corley died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, in Kansas City, Mo.
Graveside services for Treva Dolly Bullard, 80, of Lubbock was held Saturday, Sept. 3, at 10 a.m. at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Rev. Ryon Price officiating.
She passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at Covenant Medical Center. She was born Aug. 15, 1931 in Happy Valley, located in Taylor County, Texas.
Mrs. Bullard was preceded in death by her former husband, George Edward Bullard; her parents, James Leroy Timms and Susan Lois Timms; six brothers; and two sisters.

The Sweetwater Elks Lodge will be celebrating in a big way this October. The local lodge will be celebrating its 100th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 15. The Sweetwater Elks Lodge #1257 was recently presented with a plaque from the Grand Lodge Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks congratulating the local lodge for a century of dedicated service to the community and dedication to living the cardinal principals of charity, justice and brotherly love and in particular for carrying on the programs of Elkdom with fidelity.
Lamar Street Baptist Church will be holding a revival starting on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 through Wednesday, Sept. 14.
Evangelist Tom McCollister will speak at each service, and special guest Jerry Lewis will lead worship and provide special music.
The revival will begin on Sunday morning, Sept. 11 during the regular morning worship service, starting at 10:40 a.m. The evening services will be held each night, Sunday through Wednesday, at 7 p.m.
The seventh annual Sammy Baugh Classic made its return to Mustang Bowl on Thursday, with the first game of the weekend featuring Roscoe and Hawley. The Classic will continue tonight with Sweetwater against Vernon at 7:30 p.m. Rotan and Ranger will be squaring off the final day, also at 7:30 p.m. at Mustang Bowl. Sweetwater resident and Tejano music artist Anjelique has advanced to the Top 5 in her nomination for Best New Female Artist at the 31st Annual Tejano Music Awards.
As a result of her achievement, Anjelique will now be in attendance at the music awards show slated for Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 in San Antonio at the San Antonio Event Center with the hope of taking the honor home.
