All four Sweetwater High School sub-varsity teams won their games at Merkel on Tuesday.
Sweetwaterâ€™s JV girls are now 10-0 this season after a 40-32 victory.
The teams were locked in a 20-20 tie at halftime, but Sweetwater limited Merkel to 12 points in the second half. Janell Walker scored 14 points to pace Sweetwater while Shelby Cason and Elise Lawrence scored eight points, Kelsi Crosson seven and Ashley Kincheloe three.
Sweetwaterâ€™s freshman girls are also having an excellent season.

Sweetwaterâ€™s 2010 Christ-mas parade themed â€śItâ€™s a Wonderful Lifeâ€ť filled the streets with area residents enjoying holiday floats, bike riders and many others along Broadway. The parade ended at the Texas Theatre where Santa Clause was available for photos. Families were also invited to visit the train display inside the theatre.
The children at Sweetwater Christian School are getting ready for their annual Christmas program and silent auction fundraiser. It will be held at First United Methodist Church located on the corner of 4th and Cedar streets. Starting at 5:45 p.m., the bidding on the silent auction will begin, with the program following at 6:30 p.m.

Sweetwater High School held its annual football banquet Monday at Texas State Technical College to honor the 2010 Mustang football players, as well as the SHS cheerleaders and student trainers. SHS coach Craig Slaughter is pictured introducing his varsity players. A highlight video of the season was also shown during the banquet.
After a busy weekend of tournament play, all of the Nolan County area high school basketball teams are back in action for single games today.
The Sweetwater girls and boys will both go to Merkel with the Lady Mustangs tipping off at 6:30 p.m. and the Mustangs at 8. The freshman and JV teams will also take on Merkel today.
The Mustangs took fourth place at Coahomaâ€™s tourna-ment over the weekend, while the Lady Mustangs reached the consolation finals at Ballingerâ€™s three-day tournament.

Nolan County firefighters extinguished a large grass fire that burned close to 800 acres near the Highland school on Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters say they began battling the flames around noon Sunday, and had the blaze contained by about 3:30 p.m. The fire began at a travel trailer close to FM 608. A total of eight agencies responded to the fire with a total of 15 trucks and 35 people assisting with the blaze, according to Sweetwater Fire Chief Grant Madden.
380 toys were donated and $474.17 was raised at the Sweetwater Goodfellows annual toy drive on Saturday held at Wal-Mart. Shown are Norma DeLaO and Roger DeLaCruz donating toys at the drive. Those donating received free hot dogs and hot chocolate. There are still opportunities to donate to the Sweetwater Goodfellows, as they are still taking donations of new, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items and monetary donations. Distribution will take place from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at Lamar Street Baptist Church. The annual Christmas party will follow from 3:45-4:45 p.m. on that day.
