Kinsey Browning, Jackie Carey and Suede Shirley had hits and Taylor McKoy, Alicia Finn and Maty Montgomery pitched. Sweetwater committed four errors.

SW Wood Bat hurlers show their stuff

March 5, 2011

The Sweetwater High School varsity baseball team had a 2-0-1 record through Friday at the 2011 Wood Bat Classic tournament held at Newman Park, and pitching was a big reason why. Shown is freshman Kaleb Hoover, who on Thursday threw a five-inning no-hitter in a 7-0 win over Post. The Mustangs also tied Ozona 5-5 on Friday before the game was called due to the tournament time limit.
