Highland JV and varsity girls at Stamford (scrimmage) starting at 3:30 p.m.
Volleyball
Sweetwater vs. Dalhart (Class 4A bi-district playoff), 7 p.m., Lubbock Monterey High School.
THURSDAY, NOV. 6
Football
Sweetwater freshmen and JV will play at Lamesa at 5 and 6:30 p.m., respectively.
Sweetwater 7th and 8th grade ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams will host Lamesa at 4:30 and 6 p.m., respectively.
Roscoe junior high will host Bronte and Wall, 4 p.m.
Roscoe JV will host Wall after junior high games end.

Lady ‘Stangs to face Dalhart in Lubbock tonight

Sweetwater’s volleyball team will meet Dalhart tonight at 7 p.m. in a Class 4A bi-district playoff at Lubbock Monter-ey High School.

8th graders win

Both Sweetwater Middle School eighth grade foot-ball teams won at Pecos this past week while the seventh grade squads lost. All four teams will host Lamesa on Thursday to end the 2014 season.

Three area teams can win playoff berth today

For Highland, it’s been a five-year wait and Roscoe has gone four years since its last trip to the playoffs. Both return by winning today.
Roscoe (2-1) will host Menard (2-1) this evening; Highland (1-0) is host-ing Westbrook (0-1); and Blackwell (1-0) is at Loraine (1-0). Sweetwater (3-0) visits Pecos (1-2) in the other game that involves Nolan County teams.

Mustangs can clinch first-place tie Friday at Pecos

Sweetwater is finally back in the playoffs, thanks to last Friday’s 63-34 win over Monahans.
The Mustangs can clinch at least a first-place tie this Friday with a win at Pecos, which would guarantee the No. 1 seed in District 2-4A since Sweetwater has alrea-dy defeated Midland Green-wood and Monahans, who are currently tied for second at 2-1, and would have the tiebreaker over both teams.

JV stops B-Spring to finish 10-0 in 2-4A play

October 30, 2014

The JV volleyball team beat Big Spring 25-15, 25-8 here on Tuesday to finish 10-0 in District 2-4A play.
The freshman team (4-6) lost to Big Spring in three games by scores of 25-19, 24-26, 12-25.
