January 8, 2014

Since the start of the sea-son, the Sweetwater boys basketball team has been winning one game at a time. And after Tuesday night’s 47-44 home win over San Angelo Lake View that completed non-district play, the Mustangs’ streak is at 11.
Coach Al Hunt insisted after the game that he and his players aren’t talking about the streak.
“We just want to win 12,” he said.
To keep the streak alive, Sweetwater (11-0) — which needs just two victories to equal last year’s season total — must knock off a talented Monahans team on the road in its District 4-3A opener this Friday.
