Sweetwater girls will play at Levelland — JV at 5 p.m., varsity at 6:30 p.m.
Sweetwater boys will play at Levelland — JV at 5 p.m., freshmen at 6:30 p.m., varsity at 8 p.m.
Roscoe will play at Albany — JV girls at 4 p.m., JV boys at 5:15 p.m., varsity girls at 6:30 p.m., varsity boys at 8 p.m.
Highland JV and varsity teams will play at Ira starting at 4 p.m.
Blackwell varsity girls and boys will host Water Valley starting at 6:15 p.m.
SATURDAY, JAN. 31
Highland junior high teams will host tournament.
Roscoe junior high teams at Highland tournament.

SW teams go to Levelland today

It’s back on the road for Sweetwater’s teams today, as they head west again to Levelland to end a three-game stretch of games away from Sweetwater. The girls tip off their game at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 8 p.m. Sweetwater’s girls (0-6) are still looking for their first district win after losing to Snyder, 62-49, on Tuesday while the boys (1-3) are coming off a 57-50 victory at Snyder that pulled them out of a tie for last place in District 2-4A.

Highland teams battle Ira for 1st

January 30, 2015

Highland’s teams visit Ira today for a pair of basket-ball games involving teams who are currently at the top of the District 12-1A stand-ings. Highland’s girls (6-0) will play Ira (5-1) at 6:30 p.m., while the boys game between Ira (4-0) and High-land (3-1) follows at about 8 p.m. Highland’s boys are playing Ira for the first time in district play, and trying to rebound from a loss to Borden County on Tuesday that dropped them out of a tie for first place.

Highland splits d’header at BC; Roscoe sweeps

A 46-35 win at Borden County on Tuesday kept the 6-0 Highland girls basketball team in first place in District 12-1A by a game, but the Highland boys lost 44-42 to fall to 3-1 in district and a game behind first-place Ira.

JV girls drop heartbreaker to Snyder; 9th grade boys win

The Sweetwater junior varsity girls basketball team has posted a perfect record against its District 2-4A opponents this season — except for Snyder. On Tuesday, the Lady Mustangs lost to the Lady Tigers for the second time as they suffered a heartbreaking 33-32 road loss.
