“Squalled Minds” coming to Municipal Auditorium

According to a press release from Mila Gibson, a new play will be presented this weekend at the Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium. As a part of the SMA’s ongoing mission to build community through the cultural arts, a staged reading of Kade Hollis’ play, “Squalled Minds” is going to be presented on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Auditorium. The educational theatre work-in-progress is an original play by Hollis, a 2017 graduate of Sweetwater High School. Hollis is also directing and starring in the production. There is no charge for tickets.
Cast members are Kade Hollis, as Edward Dove; Nate Scott as Jean Durette; Ana White as Rose; Emily Timmer as Joyce; Aaron Community College in Waco ; Aaron Aguirre as Bartender and British guard; Jonathan Weaver as British Guard and French Guard; and Gatlyn Hoskins as Story Teller.
Production credits go to SMA volunteers Andy Vaselaar and Richard Smola for lighting and technical support. Stephanie Rubio is the makeup artist for the show. Bobby Sands, SHS Theatre Director, is advisor.
