On the Faith Lutheran Church lawn, the white crosses continue to stand this week, as they continue to uphold their beliefs on the sanctity of human life. On the church lawn are 137 crosses representing the number of abortions that take place every hour in the United States. Since 1973, approximately 52 million children have had their lives taken from them. That number equals the population of 18 States, stretching from Mississippi north to Minnesota, west to Idaho and Oregon, and back down to Louisiana. Faith Lutheran Church is located at 1607 Josephine Street, one block off of East Broadway, across from the Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
