Three Sweetwater players have been named to the all-District 5-3A softball team announced recently, while three others made the second team and one player received all-district honorable mention.
Junior infielder Alicia Finn was a first-team selec-tion for the second consecutive year. Joining her on the first team were senior pitcher Taylor McKoy and sophomore outfielder Kendra Crosson.
Named to the second team were sophomore outfielder Kelsi Crosson, who is Kendra’s twin sister, and infielders Suede Shirley and Kinsey Browning. Brown-ing is a junior and Shirley is a sophomore. Shirley was district co-offensive player of the year in 2010, and both Crossons were also all-district players last year.
Senior Morgan Runge received all-district honor-able mention for Sweetwater as a courtesy runner.
