Anita Ruth Cave Sowders

Anita Ruth Cave Sowders, 79, died Nov. 11, 2012. She was born Sept. 7, 1933, in Wingate and grew up there and graduated from Winters High School. She was married to Bill Hamilton and later to Alvin Sowders. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a CNA and a member of the Eastern Star for 50 plus years. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by four children, John Hamilton and wife Connie of Sweetwater, Carole Allen and husband Lonnie of Blackwell, Susan Hamilton of Abilene and Vivian Martinez and husband Joe of Waco; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, in the Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Blackwell cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Winters Funeral Home at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012.
