Tejano music artist and local Anjelique makes the Top 5 in her Best New Female Artist nomination

Sweetwater resident and Tejano music artist Anjelique has advanced to the Top 5 in her nomination for Best New Female Artist at the 31st Annual Tejano Music Awards.
As a result of her achievement, Anjelique will now be in attendance at the music awards show slated for Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 in San Antonio at the San Antonio Event Center with the hope of taking the honor home.
The local Tejano artist has been representing West Texas since the age of 15. The re-release of her debut album "Regresa a Mi" in December 2010 — which included two original bonus tracks — proved her success as she was voted by the Tejano Music Industry as one of the Top 12 acts.
The Tejano Music Awards spotlight the genre of Tejano music by promoting its awareness and appreciation. Since its inception in 1980, the crowds for the music event have grown considerably from 1,300 now with a combined total of 90,000 Tejano fans for all events.
Anjelique's music can be heard through her YouTube channel "Anjelique Productions", on her Facebook page — "Anjelique Entertainment" or on her website at www.anjeliquemusic.com. To learn more about the Tejano Music Awards, log on to www.tejanomusicawards.com.
Anjelique, Zeravla Entertainment and Rokko Records wish to thank everyone for their votes toward the nomination.
