May 2, 2013

A house on FM 608 burned in a fire on Wednesday night just outside of Roscoe. The State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.

Members of the Roscoe Fire Department received a page about a structure fire in Roscoe on Wednesday night at about 10:30 p.m., according to Roscoe Fire Chief Gary Armstrong. The Sweetwater Fire Department also responded to the fire.
The structure was on south FM 608, about a half of a mile outside of the Roscoe city limits. When fire fighters arrived at the scene, the structure was fully involved.
The owner of the home is currently in a retirement home and the house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
The State Fire Marshal has been called in once again to investigate the scene of the structure fire. This is one of many recent fires in the Roscoe area being investigated by the State Fire Marshal.
