The package reportedly contained a cellphone.
There were no injuries.

Police officers and sheriff's deputies blocked the streets and talked to postal workers while an engine from the Sweetwater Fire Department stood by. A suspicious package left outside of the Post Office might be to blame. The Abilene Police Department Bomb Squad is enroute to the Post Office. Visit this site for more details as they emerge.
