Class 1A all-Big Country high school basketball honors four Nolan County athletes

The Abilene Reporter-News has given Class 1A all-Big Country high school basketball recognition to four Nolan County athletes — Jesus Leanos and Lynnsi Moses of Roscoe and Sierra Allen and Kara Hughey of Highland.
Leanos, a sophomore, is the boys newcomer of the year in Class 1A, Division I. Moses, a 5-9 senior post, made the girls second team in Class 1A, Division I after averaging 16 points, two steals and over six rebounds per game.
Allen, a 5-11 sophomore post, made the girls second team in Class 1A, Division II. She averaged 17.1 points and 8.3 rebounds en route to District 11-1A, Division II MVP honors, and she was first team all-region and all-state as well. Hughey, a 5-2 senior, received honorable mention to the Class 1A, Division II girls team and was also named as a first all-region pick.
