Arthureen Glass Swift, age 86, of Denton, Texas, passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Texas Health Presbyterian Denton.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Rev. Ward Hayes officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Arthureen was born on August 12, 1925 in Knox County, Texas to Arthur H. and Ada Glass. She was a member of North Fort Worth Baptist Church. She worked for AT&T Accounting Office for 20 years before retiring.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Whiteland of Denton, Texas; one sister, Delaverne Faulker of Lancaster, Texas; four grandchildren, Alecia Baker, James Whiteland, Mark Whiteland and Stephen Whiteland; and seven great-grandchildren, Caleb Baker, Abby Baker, Caden Baker, Paige Whiteland, Saydie Whiteland, Penny Whiteland and Braylon Whiteland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ada Glass; and husband, Merle L. Swift in 1959.
