Bark For Life event is Saturday

July 22, 2013

Zoi, owned by Gary and Zela Armstrong of Sweetwater, is ready to attend the Bark For Life event in Sweetwater this Saturday.

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life event will take place this week in Sweetwater. The canine event to fight cancer will help those affected by cancer to celebrate, remember and bark back.
From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at Newman Park in Sweetwater, dogs and their owners can partake in several activities, with all proceeds to benefit Nolan County Relay For Life.
Activities will include a cancer survivors lap — human and canine, a dog costume contest, a doggy talent show, biggest dog and smallest dog contest, owner and dog look-alike contest and demonstrations. There will also be music and vendor booths at the event. Cost is $10 per dog (includes a bandana). Those attending are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs. To register or for more information, e-mail cindy-hamlin@hotmail.com or visit Relay For Life of Nolan County Texas on Facebook.
