The Sweetwater Municipal Auditorium will be hosting a benefit concert Saturday, Dec. 15, to continue to raise funds for auditorium improvements. The concert will feature accomplished pianist and modern pop artist, Kristine Mirelle.
Mirelle, a Roswell, New Mexico native, was an International Guild pianist by the age of 13 and wrote her first full-length classical piece at age 8. She now writes, sings and produces her own music, which she describes as burlesque/pop.
Her performances include her piano playing, along with dance; and she sings in both English and Spanish.
She currently resides in Los Angeles, Calif. and plays five nights a week at The Renaissance in Hollywood. Learn more about her at www.kristinemirelle.com.
With her concert, the Municipal Auditorium Board hopes to help pay for the new baby grand piano, as well as allow a talented musician to try it out on stage for the community. In addition to funding the piano, proceeds from the concert will also continue to go towards further improvements and renovations. The most recent renovation completed this year was the remodeling of the downstairs restrooms.
The board plans to continue to make the facility more comfortable and useful to the community.
Tickets will be $10 per person or $15 for reserved seating and will be available as the date of the concert approaches. It will start at 7:30 p.m.
