BEST robotics competition tomorrow at TSTC

The Boosting Engineering Science and Technology (BEST) Robotics competition will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20 at The Center in the local TSTC (Texas State Technical College) campus.

The Boosting Engineering Science and Technology (BEST) Robotics competition will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20. A record number of area teams will competition on in The Center at Texas State Technical College in Sweetwater. BEST works to inspire students to pursue careers in engineering, science, technology and math through participation in a sports-like science- and engineering-based robotics competition. This year’s theme is Outer Space, which is sure to spark tons of creative robots.
The public is welcome to come cheer these talented students on. There are a record 13 area schools participating in the Big Country BEST Competition hosted by TSTC West Texas. Winners of the Oct. 20 competition will move on to regionals. Opening Ceremonies begin at 9 a.m. 
2012 participating schools include Clyde High School, Clyde Junior High, Robert Lee, Roscoe Collegiate, Highland, Jim Ned, Comanche High School, Comanche Junior High, ATEMS, Sweetwater High School, Sweetwater Middle School, Rising Star and Gustine.
