The Texas National Bank Board of Directors is proud to announce the hiring of Chris Bibb as Senior Vice President in the bankâs Sweetwater location. The announcement was made by Bill Johnson, President and CEO.
As Senior Vice President, Bibbâs primary responsibilities include servicing existing customers and developing new relationships in Nolan County and the surrounding communities while also assisting in the overall management of the bankâs loan and investment portfolios.
Bibb attended Tarleton State University, where he received his Bachelorâs degree in Agricultural Finance, and he comes to Texas National Bank with eight years of banking experience, most of which has been spent in West Texas.
Johnson said, âHiring Chris is a real win for Texas National Bank and Sweetwater. He brings a considerable amount of enthusiasm, ambition and knowledge to our team. In the short time he has been here, Chris has already made quite the name for himself in the community. During his first week on the job he gave one of our customers a ride to the dealership in Snyder to pick up a vehicle we financed; we call that full service banking.â
Chris is a Texas native and a lifelong Texas resident having lived in Blanco, Dimmitt, Comanche, Munday and Snyder among other places. His wife, Crystal, is a native of Marfa and earned her Bachelorâs degree from The University of Texas-Permian Basin and her Masterâs and Counselorâs degrees from SulRoss State University. The couple has a two year old daughter, Cambree, and they are expecting another child in October.
Bibb said, âI couldnât be more excited about joining the Texas National Bank team. They are the epitome of a true community bank. Their recent growth, progressive nature and their flexibility in serving their customers are what attracted me. I see a bright future for the bank, a future of which I want to be a part.â
Throughout his professional career, Bibb has been active in the Lionâs Club, Rotary Club, Young Farmers of America, Menâs Golf Association, local chambers of commerce, youth football coaching and other civic activities.
Texas National Bank is Sweetwaterâs locally owned and managed bank with total assets of $124 million as of June 30, 2014.
