Billy Joe “Bill” Tucker, 81, of Sweetwater, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Sweetwater. He will be cremated under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home and no further services are planned at this time.
Billy was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Sweetwater. He married Rosemary Jones on May 12, 1972, in Sweetwater. He was a Baptist. Billy owned and operated Big State Roustabout for several years. He was a member of Sweetwater Masonic Lodge #571 and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of Suez Shrine Temple in San Angelo.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra Kay Tucker of Tye and Lee Ann Tucker of Irving; sister, Myrtle Knox of Texas City; brother, Dean Tucker of Ft. Worth; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Tucker, in 2010; and by his parents, William Thomas and Hettie Lee Kinsey Tucker.
