Billy Neal Gotcher, 74, of Sweetwater, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at his residence. Graveside memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Brookshire Cemetery in Tennyson, Texas with the Rev. Ward Hayes Officiating.
Bill was born on Oct. 1, 1937, in Runnels County, Texas to Otis and Lora Gotcher. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Bill worked in the Oil Field for many years for Leon Goswick, F&R Well Service, Pool Company and Co-Owner of Gotcher Well Service. He later worked for the Burwicks as a Heavy Equipment Operator before retiring due to health reasons. Bill had a passion for old cars whether it be driving, racing or fixing them up. He loved his boys, granddaughters, and new great-grandson, getting together with family and friends for holidays and making the dressing â€ślike Mamaâ€ť used to make.
Bill is survived by two sons, Billy Gotcher and wife Glynis of Sweetwater, Texas and Lynn Gotcher and wife Sharon of Sterling City, Texas; four granddaughters, Brena and Breann Gotcher of Sweetwater, Texas, Stephanie Stafford and husband Leslie and Heather Gotcher; and great-grandson, Coe Stafford, all of Sterling City, Texas, brother, Nealon Gotcher and wife Carol of Sweetwater, Texas; sister, Wanda Rinehart of Snyder, Texas; as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Lora Gotcher; and brothers, Weldon and Wilburn Gotcher.
